Shared Spaces
“Thank you for allowing the sacred space to be able to share all these conversations, and to allow me to recognize that there is so much more commonalities between every single one of us than there are differences.” - From a direct service provider focus group participant
When the design team created the format and agenda for the focus groups, we had the goal that it would not only be a comfortable and supportive space for people to share, but that it could be a healing space. Participants reinforced that we achieved this goal and specifically requested more opportunities like it to be in community together.
“I almost get the sense that there's healing happening, even in myself. There's healing happening from hearing your stories and from being able to identify with it and know I'm not alone in this. So I hold each and every last one of the stories that's being shared. There's a similar similarity and I appreciate this space for being healing.” - From an administrator focus group participant
